Aurora Partners with Canopius Underwriting Limited on behalf of syndicate 4444 at Lloyd's to Provide Liability Insurance to SME

Sydney--( January 12, 2009 )-Aurora Underwriting Agency, a division of Consolidated Underwriting Services Pty. Limited, today announced the launch of a general liability insurance facility designed specifically for small to medium enterprises in Australia

Through Aurora, owners and operators of SME will now have access via their Insurance brokers to coverage designed specifically for this sector of the marketplace.

"The shrinking availability of insurance coverage in areas that tend to experience long tail liability losses from time to time has placed pressure on underwriting agencies to create solutions," said William Legge, CEO of Aurora Underwriting Agency. "This product is a direct effort to allow our broker network and their clients who are operating and/or owning their own business the peace of mind to enjoy their work, not worry about it."

Aurora's focus on servicing the SME market with competitively priced and appropriately structured covers through regional and mid tier brokers has positioned the company and its suppliers to exploit an emerging and growing market.

Aurora's rapidly expanding broker partner network provides significant expansion opportunities within Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

The facility is a general liability product designed through a partnership between Aurora, one of the nation's fastest growing underwriting agencies, specializing in niche areas of insurance, Integro Insurance Brokers in London, an International Insurance and Reinsurance Broker, and Canopius Underwriting Limited on behalf of syndicate 4444 at Lloyd's of London.

Phillip Hawkes, business development manager for Aurora, who has been instrumental in securing the support from London by utilizing his 37 years of experience working at Lloyd's said that brokers would now be able to obtain cover up to A$20,000,000 for public and product liability for a broad range of SME occupations and welcomed submissions from brokers looking for prompt service, a rapid response and an understanding of this market sector.

"Aurora's SME focus, size and distribution platform enables us a great opportunity to provide additional solutions to their broker network and their clients' needs," said Andrew Park, managing principal of Integro Insurance Brokers.

"We believe this product offers SME, in today's economic downturn, a real option to meeting their protection needs and given Aurora's extensive reach, makes them an ideal partner," added Park.

Legge said the relationship with Canopius Underwriting Limited on behalf of syndicate 4444 at Lloyd's will enable Aurora to quickly provide quotes. In addition, Legge said as the company rolls out this product across the country, it now has a facility to quickly provide and place general liability coverage.

As is customary, Aurora's professionals will serve as broker's primary contact for all general liability issues and Proclaim Management Solutions have been appointed to manage and resolve any settlement of claims.
