Wayne brings to the company twenty eight years insurance experience in senior positions for 12 years he accrued extensive insurance underwriting experience covering a wide variety of underwriting roles including general underwriter, commercial motor fleet and accident underwriter, national fire and accident underwriter, and state underwriting and claims manager. Followed by another 12 years specialising in corporate insurance broking and risk management prior to founding the insurance group Australian Consolidated Insurance Limited. His specialise expertise in underwriting is in Directors Officers Company Reimbursement, Professional Indemnity and scheme/facility business.

William has accrued thirty seven years in the insurance industry, twenty seven years working in senior positions in management, underwriting, claims and product development roles, with eight years working in underwriting agencies in senior management areas, cumulating in his latest position heading up and developing Aurora’s underwriting agency network. William’s experience encompasses roles in the general insurance market of Australia, both regional and metropolitan, as well as in South East Asia as an executive underwriter focusing on market development and staff training in underwriting commercial and industrial risks.

Paul Evans, Legal Expenses

Paul has extensive experience in insurance underwriting and brokering, specialising in legal expense insurance, professional indemnity and, most recently, in the development of legal assistance and insurance programmes. Paul has travelled widely, working in London, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Australia. Paul has also studied law at the University of London and was subsequently called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn.

Philip Hawkes, Business Development Manager
Philip Hawkes has 40 years insurance industry experience of which 37 years spent as a Lloyds broker working for various firms including Morgan Read and Sharman and HSBC.
He has particular experience in aviation, personal accident and reinsurance placement for a variety of international companies.
Philip relocated to Australia in 2002 and has worked in the underwriting agency sector as business development manager developing ongoing and close relationships with brokers operating in the SME market.
He is responsible for the ongoing relationships with Lloyds underwriters for the group.

Mark Joblin JP, Chief Executive Officer

Mark joined the Insurance industry after leaving university in 1969.
He rose to Branch Manager level with a leading NZ Underwriter before commencing as an insurance broker on his own account. In 1983, he developed and began the specialist vehicle underwriting agency, Classic Cover Insurance.
Following the sale of his broking business in 1997, Mark has concentrated on the development of Classic Cover Insurance to the point where it currently would rank as the premier specialist vehicle insurance scheme presently operating in the NZ market. The company enjoys a unique niche in the market with both direct and broker-sourced business being catered for.
Mark served on the executive of the Independent Insurance Brokers Association for some years including a two year term as President. In that time he represented NZ brokers at industry meetings in the UK, USA, Singapore, Australia and the Pacific Islands. He was also a member of the industry negotiating team working with the then NZ Government on proposed industry legislative changes.
Mark enjoys a lifelong passion for motor cars and motor sport. He remains an active competitor in both Historic and contemporary motor sport events. Mark currently serves as President of several motoring bodies including the NZ Production Racing Association and an NZHRA – affiliated Hot Rod Club.
Mark was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1995.
